  • Somatic Awareness for Coaches

Broaden your coaching presence, awareness and skills through somatic awareness. As coaches, we learn to listen actively to what our clients say; yet, there is so much more information available to us if we learn to listen beyond the words to the energy of the client and to our own energy and response.

Using body-based practices, as well as those tailored just for coaches, we experiment, play and learn to heighten our presence to the signals we receive from the coaching space, the client and our own bodies. Explore how to tune into what your own body, intuition and awareness is telling you.

During this this two-hour, workshop, you will learn to:

    • Quickly come into a calm, creative, resourceful state.

    • Actively “listen” to the client’s words, energy and emotions.

    • Bring more intuition and self awareness into your coaching.

    • Find more freedom in your coaching through non-judgment of self and others.

    • Integrate coaching competencies in ways that support client transformation.

In each 2-hour session, you will develop your skills as an individual coach as well as deepen your coaching skills for working with groups.

  • Small Group Mentor Coaching (4 x 4 Coaching and Feedback)

Student and professional coaches benefit from being coached, just as clients do!

Mentor coaching, whether individually or within a group, provides professional guidance to grow, strengthen, and achieve deeper levels of coaching competency and capacities. Successful demonstration of core competencies are required by coach training programs as well as other credentialing bodies, including the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF) for ongoing professional development. Additionally, these are the core tools of the profession that lead to being an effective coach.

During this four week/four session course, each week two students will coach for 30 minutes and the other two participants will be client and observer. After each round, the Mentor Coach will provide feedback and facilitate a discussion including observations from the other participants. There will also be an opportunity to discuss challenging scenarios in your coaching practice, such as red flag situations.

There is no predetermined agenda for the coaching, each student is invited to determine the area of focus and need within their coaching skills development. The Mentor Coach will tailor their feedback to assist each individual coach to develop their coaching skill set forward toward competency and mastery.

  • Health Coaching for Medication Taper Support

How to stay in scope and serve your clients.

For health coaches with experience in or interested in offering support to clients who are contemplating or have begun a medication taper, whether for the first time, or after previous attempts:

There is much need and opportunity for this kind of support, and in order to serve clients within our scope of practice and our code of ethics, it’s important to be clear on what health coaches can and can’t do. It is crucial that you know what is in scope and out of scope, how to ensure that clients have the level of support they need to undertake this process, how to handle red flags, and where to get further education for yourself and resources for your clients. This webinar/discussion is designed to explore these issues and guide those interested toward further education and resources to most effectively support clients through this challenging, rewarding process.
